COVID Protocols: We are following all necessary precautions set forth by the CDC to ensure the safety of our children and their families during COVID-19. Masks will be required to be worn by both children and staff while indoors, and outdoors if social distance is not possible. Children will have their temperature taken and given hand sanitizer before entering DCP. Each child has his/her own seating area separated by clear plastic. Any child with a fever while at DCP, will have their parents or emergency contact called to pick them up right away.

Apprentice Conservatory

The Apprentice Conservatory spring production is "Lion King, Jr".

Apprentice Conservatory classes are for students aged 10 to 18, who have some performance experience and are ready to engage in student-led productions.  Students gain experience in all aspects of musical theatre production, and are encouraged to choreograph and direct together. Students get full scale production experience with an end of semester performance. Class size limited to 14 participants.

Choose one of two class times: Mon/Wed 6:00-7:30 or Tues/Thurs 6:00-7:30. Class size limited to 14 students. Students should bring their own water bottle and cloth or disposable mask to each class/rehearsal.

Classes start the week of Jan 19, 2021 with auditions and call backs. Performances in May, dates to be determined. No classes during spring break.

All classes are held at DCP, 141-B Sams Street, Decatur, GA 30030. 

50% deposit is due at registration, with balance paid by automatic withdrawal on March 1, 2021. For your convenience, we accept VISA®,MasterCard®, American Express®, Discover®, and debit cards.

I understand and acknowledge that participation in any activity can be hazardous and I realize that no one should enter into a recreational activity unless the participant is physically and medically able to do so. As the participant's parent/guardian, I assume all risk associated with this activity including, but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants and/or equipment, effects of weather, equipment failure and/or condition of activity area. I fully understand that it is my responsibility to ascertain if this specific activity contains other elements of risk that could prove harmful to the participant.
Having read this waiver and in consideration of acceptance into the program, I and anyone entitled to act on my behalf do hereby release, hold harmless, and agree to indemnify Decatur Community Players, its directors, officers, agents, contractors, employees, and volunteers, from and against any and all damages, or claims of damage to persons or property arising out of or related in any manner to the participant's activities.
1. I certify that the participant does not have any medical conditions that would prevent participation in this program.
2. In case of serious emergency or illness, when the emergency contact/parent cannot be reached immediately, I hereby authorize the provider to obtain emergency medical care.
3. Media Release: I grant permission to use the participant's name, quoted material, and any photograph/ videography of the participant for the purposes of archival documentation and present/future Decatur Community Players publicity materials including newspapers, magazines, and Internet applications without compensation or consideration.

Refunds are available through the end of the first 2 weeks of classes. Refund requests must be received in writing (preferably e-mail) . Please note the following:
